This page is a translation. The French version is the reference text.

itbalances stores your email address and the plans you enter, so that you find them again each time you sign in. There is no advertising, no audience measurement and no resale of data. Your account and your plans are hosted in France.

Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is Guillaume Bouchon, a private individual who publishes itbalances on a non-professional basis.

A plan describes a business, often one that does not exist yet: positions, salaries per position, sales, loans. You do not need to name people in it. A job title is enough, and we recommend keeping to that.

What we do not do

  • No advertising, no advertising trackers.
  • No audience measurement.
  • No sale, rental or disclosure of your data to third parties, other than the technical providers listed below.
  • No reading of your plans for any purpose other than displaying them to you. A technical intervention on the database may give access to them; it stays limited to diagnosis.
  • No automated decision about you.

Cookies and storage in your browser

The site only sets cookies that are necessary for signing in: the session cookie (30 days), a form-protection cookie, a cookie that remembers which page to bring you back to, and during a Google sign-in a few cookies that last for the round trip. They are exempt from consent, which is why no banner is shown.

Your browser also keeps a few display preferences: light or dark theme, the last plan opened, the periodicity of the tables. They never leave your device.

Switzerland is covered by an adequacy decision of the European Commission. If you would rather Google were not involved, use the email-link sign-in: it gives access to the same account.

The database is backed up every day by the hosting provider, which keeps each backup for 7 days. A deleted plan or account may therefore remain in a backup until that backup expires.

Security

Exchanges with the site are encrypted. Each plan can only be read by the account that created it. There is no password: you sign in with a single-use link or with Google.

Your rights

You can access your data, correct it, erase it, restrict its use, object to it and retrieve it in a reusable format.

  • Retrieve all your data: from the “My account” page, a single file holds your account and all your plans, and the tool can import it again. Each plan can also be exported on its own from your list of plans, and result tables as CSV.
  • Delete a plan: from your list of plans. Deletion is immediate.
  • Delete your account: from the “My account” page. Deletion is immediate and permanent; it takes your plans with it.
  • Any other request: write to contact@itbalances.eu from the account's address. We reply within one month.

If the reply does not satisfy you, you can lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (cnil.fr; 3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, France), or with the data protection authority of your own country.
